Hello and welcome to my little corner of the Internet where I like to share the joys of hand-embroidery through tutorials, patterns, and various projects!
My name is Anne and I’ve been stitching since 2014, teaching myself along the way and discovering such a wonderful world of beauty and creativity. Hand-embroidery has such a rich, fascinating history, and it’s amazing to see that it has endured for so long and remains a beloved art form. With its soothing, calming motions and endless scope for the imagination, embroidery quickly became my favourite pastime and I knew I couldn’t keep all the fun to myself.
So I started this blog back in 2021, and from there began designing my own patterns as well. You can find them over on Etsy: Northern Belle Atelier. I draw most of my inspiration from nature and especially love embroidering soft, delicate botanicals in a realistic style with a touch of vintage.
